Discovery
We spend an hour or two on what you shoot, where, and why. Most of the build is decided here.
Custom Builds
A custom build is a months-long conversation. We help you decide what to build, who should build it, and how it should be finished. Then we manage the project until it arrives.
Most clients arrive with a use case (elk in steep country, sporting clays at altitude, an heirloom rifle their grandson will inherit) and an instinct that an off-the-rack piece won't quite serve. Sometimes that instinct is right. Sometimes the right answer is a production piece with a careful fit. We'll tell you which.
When a custom is the right answer, the work starts with quiet conversation about how you shoot, what you've owned, and what you've wished a previous piece had been. From there we propose actions, makers, calibers, and finish work appropriate to the client and the use. Final say is always yours.
The process
We spend an hour or two on what you shoot, where, and why. Most of the build is decided here.
We translate intent into a written specification: action, caliber, stock dimensions, finish, engraving, sights.
We commission with the right maker and manage the project. Mid-build adjustments happen at the right moment, not in panic.
We deliver the piece in person, range-test, and make any final adjustments. The relationship continues.
Custom work begins with a conversation. Tell us what you have in mind, even loosely, and we'll write back.
